I tried Mermaid Milk in the summer when my mom gave me a sample from her Thrive Market order. I loved the smell and texture. I stopped using it for a couple weeks but weirdly enough the sample molded on me when I wanted to try it again. I decided to re-order a large one thinking it would do good on my face and now, wintertime, it’s doing absolutely nothing for my hydration. I have extremely sensitive skin, oily in the summer and dry in the winter. I still love the smell and texture, but it’s not something I can use for the winter. The lines on my face actually look worse. I’m not giving up on Earth Harbor products just yet, but this one isn’t my favorite.
A bestie had given me a gift card to Earth Harbor for my birthday and, after ordering Mermaid Milk, I was sold on the brand! Mermaid Milk was the morning moisturizer that I had been looking for. During the summer months, my skin stayed hydrated without being oily and my pores seemed to shrink! These results - in addition to the lovely smell - lead me to recommend this product to just about anyone!
Not only is this nontoxic, it's amazing! Light weight while still being hydrating. Perfect on its own in the summer. I'll sometimes add a serum or ampoule on days I'm feeling a little dry in the winter months.
Finally! The first skin care product where I can actually pronounce every ingredient! I recently purchased this moisturizer because my skin gets very dry during winter and I love the feel and hydration it gives :) I am so happy to have found a brand that cares about quality and simplicity!!
Feels wonderful after cleansing. A great wake-me-up spritz in the mornings with the lovely light scent.
