Yes, all of our products contain no added gluten and no added soy. However, since we are not certified gluten-free or soy-free, we can't guarantee they are completely free of trace amounts.

Use Earth Harbor products within 12 months of purchase to ensure optimal freshness. To maintain freshness for that span of time, always wash your hands before use, keep products out of direct sunlight and in a cool, dry place.

Yes, but no sketchy synthetic preservatives are allowed! By natural, we actually mean it. If we sell a product that has a water-soluble component, we use an entirely natural preservative to stave off the development of mold, fungus & bacteria and run third party stability + challenge tests to prove it. We are serious about every ingredient we use being researched across leading, trustworthy health & safety databases to ensure our formulas qualify for the very best, safest, and non-toxic categories — that's why we use reliable plant-based preservatives in our formulas. Yes, our products are safe and effective for sensitive skin. We conduct patch testing (RIPT, sensitive skin, and overseen by a dermatologist) on all of our formulas to ensure they work across all skin types, with a special focus on sensitive skin, this guarantees suitability for even the most delicate skin.
Our products are formulated with proven actives and undergo rigorous testing to ensure both safety and long-term efficacy. However, we always recommend performing your own patch test on a small area of skin to make sure the product works for you, as everyone's skin is unique and may react differently.
Keep in mind, some people experience skin purging when introducing new products. To minimize this, we suggest alternating between products for 3 to 5 days instead of using several new products all at once. Overloading your skin can be overwhelming, so it's important to give it time to adjust.

Due to the nature of using 100% pure, natural, and wild-harvested ingredients, the color, aroma, and/or texture may vary with every batch. This does not affect efficacy; it is simply the beautiful inconsistency that comes with keeping ingredients as close to the earth as we can get!
Rest assured, all batches undergo stability and challenge testing to ensure the highest standards of safety and performance, so you don’t have to worry about the quality of the product.

Because we leave out unnecessary fillers and stabilizers, this can result in the development of a bead-like texture/whitish specks in your balm. This is completely normal, doesn’t change the efficacy, and they will melt on contact with your skin (or by warming the balm in your hands before applying). The texture will dissolve from your body heat.
If you prefer to dissolve them, we suggest melting the balm in a ‘water bath’. You simply place the product (keeping it in its jar) in a pot on the stove with a low temperature setting and water below its tightened lid. Let the balm melt completely and then let it cool all the way through in your refrigerator. Then, keep Nymph Nectar stored below 75 °F.

Certification for EWG and USDA organic is extremely resource-dense for brands. As a bootstrapped small independently-owned brand, we put our efforts into providing our own detailed information about the ingredients we use, carefully source each ingredient in-house (an industry rarity), and take it a step further with our founder being a toxicologist that audits each product. We proudly pour the monetary resources that certifications would take into using the highest quality, ethically sourced ingredients instead. FYI: All ingredients are non-GMO derived, would qualify for the best EWG rankings, and many are certified organic!

We formulate all of our products with the most sensitive and reactive skin types in mind. Our products are dermatologically tested, third-party tested for sensitive skin, and clinically tested to ensure both safety and effectiveness.
And we are here to bust the myth about products being "non-comedogenic". You won't find us using this word because no governing body nor test can determine whether an ingredient or product is non-comedogenic, so rather than making a marketing claim that no one can actually back up, we choose to inform our customers about this and encourage a skin patch test before use since every person's skin is different-- the skin patch test you perform is actually the only way to tell if a product (or ingredient) is noncomedogenic for your unique skin!

Our formulas prioritize naturally occurring compounds and are made exclusively from renewable resources. They only undergo changes through biological processes such as fermentation, distillation, and cold processing. We never use synthetic dyes, synthetic fragrances, or synthetic preservatives.
Each of our products is 100% nature-identical, purely natural, and minimally processed, ensuring they are both effective and safe for your skin. Thanks to our advanced use of botanically based preservatives, they remain protected from mold and bacteria—without the need for synthetic additives.

Those we source from range from small independent farmers to larger cooperatives that obtain most of their ingredients from organic and/or wildcrafted sources. The ingredients are then rushed to us so we can bring you the freshest, most effective products possible. Our ingredients are predominantly sourced from within the United States and are responsibly sourced no matter what. We always ensure our strict ethics align with those we source from.

All ingredients in our formulas serve a therapeutic purpose, but we only count an ingredient as a true active if it serves a stronger therapeutic role—meaning it has a direct, visible impact on the skin, such as promoting cell turnover, improving hydration, or delivering specific skin benefits. Ingredients that provide more functional therapeutic roles, like texture, viscosity, or stability, support the overall effectiveness of the product but are not typically classified as actives in our active ingredient count unless they also serve a stronger therapeutic role in addition to their functional role. This distinction helps us highlight the ingredients that provide the most noticeable and measurable benefits for your skin, even though, technically, all ingredients could be considered actives in our products!

Our refills are our Earth Harbor gems, sealed with aluminum tops and free of any plastics! Many other brands incorporate pouches as part of their refill programs. However, we’ve been crunching sustainability-focused numbers and our approach with glass bottles and aluminum tops has an even lower ecological footprint! Aluminum, like glass, is widely and easily recycled.

Tightly close all lids and caps after opening. Store your products upright in a cool, dry place away from sunlight. All products are safe to be stored in the refrigerator (although not necessary), and it might change the consistency of that product.
Shipping + Orders

Once an item is ordered and paid for, please allow 1-4 business days for your order to ship, unless otherwise noted in the product description. Remember, we are handcrafting items so they are at the peak of freshness when you get them! This can include making, infusing, bottling, labeling, and shipping. Handmade products take a little longer to make than mass-produced ones. Let us know if you need an item by a specific date and we will always make it a priority to try to accommodate your needs.
For U.S. Orders: We primarily ship through USPS. After leaving our studio USPS typically delivers in 2–5 business days. You will receive an email notification from us that contains tracking information once your order has been shipped.
For International Orders: Please allow up to four weeks for your order to arrive after shipping. Usually it will arrive sooner, but customs departments do have the right to hold items. This timeframe is unfortunately totally out of our hands. We are unable to pay for anything to be released from customs to you. Note that even if you receive an item(s) at a discounted price, we are required to disclose the standard full price of an item on customs forms.

We really want to know if you have any problems whatsoever with your order (not received, not what you were expecting, wrong/incorrect order, etc.) Please, please, please contact us so that we can make it right for you. As our customer, our priority is to make sure you are completely satisfied. We want you to be happy and will always do our best to resolve any situations that arise.
Always keep in mind that our products you are buying are 100% natural and handcrafted, so variations do exist from batch to batch (example: slightly different color or scent).
Damaged Item: If you receive a damaged item, contact us immediately at hello@earthharbor.com. We are happy to replace any damaged items that are reported within 48 hours of delivery. A photograph of the damage/defect is required.
*Please know that we do not offer replacements for incorrect addresses or shipments shown as "delivered" in tracking updates. If a shipment was sent to an incorrectly entered address, the cost to reship is the recipient’s responsibility.

Returns + Exchanges

We want you to love your new skincare routine! If you're not 100% satisfied with your Earth Harbor purchase, you can return it for a full refund within 30 days of purchase. We’ll even cover the return shipping! Products must be in new or gently used condition. Please note, we reserve the right to refuse a refund if a product is returned damaged or heavily used.

We’ll respond within 3 business days with a return shipping label.
Shipping for Returns:
- For U.S. orders: We cover the return shipping costs, but original shipping charges (if applicable) are non-refundable.
- For international orders: If your package is unclaimed and returned to us, we may refund the cost of the products, but the shipping cost will not be refunded.
Reimbursement:
Your refund will be processed within 5 business days of receiving your return. You’ll receive an email notification once processed, and the refund will appear on your original payment method within 7–10 business days, depending on your payment provider.Order Issues:

There are a shipload of ways to earn Mermaid Points! Start by signing up for Mermaid Rewards to earn 100 points. Then, earn points by purchasing products (1 point per $1 spent), following Earth Harbor on Instagram (15 points), referring friends (100 points), leaving a review via email (50 points), and adding your birthday for a reward present (100 points).
These actions help you accumulate points that can be redeemed for rewards. For more details, visit the Mermaid Rewards page.
Note: To earn points, you must complete actions within the "Earn Points" section of the Rewards portal (not the informational "Earn Points" list on the Rewards page). Simply go to our Rewards page (found under "Rewards" in the main navigation bar). Once there, click "Join Now" and enter your email address, create a password, and check your inbox for a confirmation email from us. After confirming your account, you can log in and start earning rewards!

Mermaid Points are valid for 12 months from the date of the last qualifying purchase. Each qualifying purchase will automatically extend the expiration date of all unused points in a Mermaid Rewards account for 12 months from the month of the qualifying purchase. If the Mermaid Rewards account has no qualifying purchase activity within a 12-month period, all points in the account will expire.
