In the evening, I like to do a double-cleanse. Sunshine Dew has been an incredible cleansing oil as my first step, and it removes my sunscreen and makeup very well! It does not leave my sensitive skin irritated, red, or dry at all and instead makes me feel hydrated and prepped for my second cleanse with a water cleanser. I think it has also helped with the slight hyperpigmentation I have from previous acne!
In the morning, I apply 3 drops of this to my face before applying my mermaid skin smoothie (Mermaid Milk + Marina). Aurora has helped to calm down the redness and sensitivity in my skin that I experience after waking up in the morning and adds a beautiful luminescence to my skin. I sometimes apply this to my neck if I experience irritation there, and it hasn't let me down!
On days when my skin feels extra dry, I like to layer this on top of Siren Silk at night to rehydrate it overnight. I appreciate the bounty of butters and tropical oils that revive my skin and leave me feeling very soft. During the daytime, I use this to moisturize my lips and nail beds.
I’ve been using Sunshine Dew for about a couple of years as the first step in my double cleanse routine at night when I wear makeup, mascara or just mineral SPF. It easily removes all traces of even the most stubborn makeup/mineral SPF. And it leaves my skin feeling so soft and hydrated after using. The scent is also very pleasant and light. However, every time I have used this product and finished the double cleanse with my favorite daily cleanser Oasis also from Earth Harbor, my eyes always have an uncomfortable reaction to the Sunshine Dew oil and become irritated and begin to tear up with tears just streaming out for the rest of the night. As much as I love this product, how well it removes makeup and how soft it leaves my skin, I just can’t deal with the severe eye irritation anymore. Sadly, I’m afraid I have to find a different oil cleanser that won’t leave me in tears 😭
